MIFF's competition for Miami Student Film of the Year
CinemaSlam 2011, Miami International Film Festival's all-new Miami film school competition, aims to discover, showcase, and celebrate the work of undergraduate and graduate students in Miami's film schools.
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Three films from each school will be selected as CinemaSlam Finalists in an American Idol-style voting contest, with 50 percent of the score determined by online public voting and 50 percent determined by a select group of faculty judges from each school. The winning film from each school plus the grand prize winner ("Miami Student Film of the Year") will be selected by MIFF's esteemed Florida Focus Jury. CinemaSlam winners will be announced and screened during the 28th Annual Miami International Film Festival being held March 4 – 13, 2011.

CinemaSlam is a component of the Festival's Florida Focus program.
CINEMASLAM 2011 FINALISTS
Congratulations to the finalists of CinemaSlam 2011! Finalists will compete for the top prize at each school as well as the grand prize - the Miami Student Film of the Year award. Winners will be announced and screened during the 2011 Miami International Film Festival on March 9 at the Colony Theatre.
