American Airlines is proud to sponsor this edition of MIFF Abroad, for the fourth year in a row, taking place in Uruguay in August 2009. MIFF Abroad is an industry exchange program linking film professionals from around the world with the Latin American filmmaking community.
Each year, MIFF travels to a new participating country and hosts panels, discussions and other events designed to share knowledge and facilitate film business and industry connections. Previous programs have taken MIFF to Chile (2006), Colombia (2007) and Mexico (2008).
This August we will be in Montevideo to celebrate, support and participate in the exciting period of change and revitalization currently taking place in Uruguayan cinema. The program will be presented in collaboration with ICAU - Instituto del Cine y Audiovisual del Uruguay.
